We have many important end of the year dates for LJHS

Final Exam Schedule:

May 19: Math

May 20: Social Studies/Science

May 23: ELA/Electives

May 24 and May 25: Make up Exams

Spring Dance:

This Friday, May 20 from 5-7pm. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets will NOT be available at the door. Pickup/Drop off is Door #4. No outside food or drink. School appropriate clothing.

LJHS Awards Program:

Tuesday, May 24 at 1:45PM in the Main Gym

Only those students who will be receiving an award will be in attendance. We will notify you if you are receiving an award.

Parents may take their child with them after the program.

SPIRIT WEEK- MAY 23-26 (must be school appropriate):

Monday, May 23: It’s Almost Vay-Cay Time: Wear your favorite island gear or Hawaiian print items

Tuesday, May 24: Keepin’ it Classy: Dress up in your fanciest duds

Wednesday, May 25: Sporting our Best: Wear your favorite team jersey or dodgeball tournament attire

Thursday, May 26: Jr Berry Pride: Wear your favorite LJHS shirt or gear on our last student day.

END OF YEAR DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT:

  • Wednesday, May 25, Main Gym, 8:45- 10:54AM; 1PM-3:15PM

  • Following the International Dodgeball Association Rules; Coach Sailors Officiates

  • Six students per team

  • A minimum of two females on each team

  • Double Elimination

  • Only the first 15 teams accepted (MINIMUM OF TWO STAFF TEAMS)

  • Prizes for the best dressed team and tournament champions

  • ALL team members must have passing grades (NO F’s)!

  • The team captain must register his/her team using the Google Form found on Info Hub, starting Monday, May 16. Registration will close on Thursday, May 19. 

  • Those students who are participating may remain in the gym for the tournament provided all work has been completed for all classes. Mr. Hammons will send out the list of students participating in the tournament to staff after registration closes and we have checked grades

Student Laptop Collection:

STUDENT laptop collection will be on Tuesday, May 24 by English class. Mr. Strain will contact classes to report down to the library.

LAST DAY OF SCHOOL:

Students who have not missed more than 9 days of school (not including covid related absences) and have ALL passing grades will be allowed to miss the last day of school, provided they have a written note from the parent turned in by Tuesday, May 24 to the main office.
