BC2M

At LHS, we proudly participate in Bring Change to Mind (BC2M) Week 2025, a nationwide initiative to end mental health stigma. This year’s theme, "Minds in Balance: Prioritizing Brain Health and Connections," emphasizes the importance of self-care, community support, and fostering open conversations about mental well-being.

What is BC2M?

Bring Change to Mind (BC2M) is a national nonprofit founded to encourage young people to speak openly about mental health. Through awareness campaigns, school programs, and peer-driven initiatives, BC2M empowers students to support one another and break the stigma surrounding mental illness.

BC2M Week 2025 Daily Themes:

Monday: Self-Kindness Kickoff 💙
The week starts with a focus on self-compassion. Taking time for yourself, setting healthy boundaries, and practicing self-care can improve mental well-being.

Tuesday: Strength in Unity 🤝
Mental health is not just an individual journey—it thrives in community. Today, we celebrate the power of connection, encouraging students and staff to support one another and promote inclusivity.

Wednesday: The Power of Positive Affirmations 🌿
Words can shape our thoughts! This day encourages everyone to practice positive affirmations—simple but powerful statements that boost self-confidence, resilience, and optimism.

Thursday: Creating a Self-Care Community 🧘
Self-care is more than just a solo act; it’s about building environments that support mental well-being for all. Today’s focus is on collective self-care and mindfulness strategies.

Friday: Building Balance in Our Communities 🌎
How can we make mental wellness a priority beyond BC2M Week? Friday’s theme highlights advocacy, education, and long-term strategies to support mental health in our schools and communities.

Join the Movement!
BC2M Week is more than just an event—it’s a commitment to creating safe spaces where mental health conversations are welcomed and encouraged. We invite students, teachers, and families to participate in weekly activities, discussions, and initiatives.

Together, we can break the stigma, build resilience, and ensure that no one feels alone in their mental health journey.
